NEWINGTON

Coach: Rich Condon (19th season)

Last Year’s Record: 9-8

Key Departures: Krista Ellis, Molly Simeone, and Natalie Zaleski

Key Returners: Courtney Oushana (Sr. Captain), Marie Allo (Jr.), Kira Mason (Jr.), Heejin Chang (Jr.), Alison Boghosian (Jr.), Stephany Chung (Jr.), Justyna Sikorska (Jr.), Nina DiCioccio (Fr.)

Outlook: With a large returning class, big things are expected from the Newington Indians girls golf team. So big in fact, that head coach Rich Condon thinks this could be among the best girls teams in Newington history.

“I think this may be the best over all girls golf team ever at Newington,” Condon said. “Because of a lot of depth of good players, these ladies should be in contention in every match.”

Courtney Oushana will be the team’s captain and will lead a team full of solid juniors. After finishing the CCC East 5-0 last season, the Indians will look to win their second straight CCC East title this year, and will seek to make an impact in the State Tournament.
