Girls Golf plays well, but comes up short of BerlinTuesday, May 8, 2018 NEWINGTON - The Newington girls golf team is one match away from earning its spot in the postseason. Monday afternoon, the Indians (206) fell right behind Berlin (202) in a tri-match, while Cheshire came in last (218). Senior Jessica Pierzchalski was the medalist for the afternoon, shooting a 44. Newington was led by Chloe Bilodeau (47), Taylor Kelly (55) and Leah Tofeldt (60) and the Redcats were led by Alena Kittleman (46), Jackie Cooper (47), Bridgette McQuillan (53) and Jessica Nappi (56). The Indians are now 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the CCC South conference while Berlin improves to 4-2.
